besides the local newspaper i am thinking broader since i live in a very small town. how can i find ones within 50 miles of my house? ebay? craigslist? whats the best in your experience

eBay is a great place for tanks. It seems the bigger they are the cheaper they are. Bare tanks being the cheapest. Course, you have to collect. Lots are sold with extra's such as filters and bits and peices. Its worth a browse.

Yeah I agree aswell, Ive bought quite a few tanks from ebay and all have been in top condition at bargain prices. You might consider looking on aquarist-classifieds.co.uk
