Checked out these shops today when I was picking up my new Ps. North Lakes is in Penrith and the other is in Plumpton, about 3 miles away.

North Lakes has a really good reputation but I was a little disappointed as there were a lot of empty tanks. They had probably just had a good weekend for sales. A lot of bread and butter fish and a good range of rift lake cichlids. Most interesting were chinese sailfin suckers (which you need a licence to keep in the UK and some baby seahorses.

Calico is marine only, although they did have a display tank with some seriously chunky and mean looking RBPs. They also had a 17 foot display tank that was amazing. It's a bit of a maze of a shop but they have a lot of really excellent marines and also the biggest filtration system I've seen outside of a public aquarium!

If you're in the area they are worth checking out.

It's because they could survive in the wild in the UK symon and potentially interfere with indigenous fauna.
