Hi,

Got five 3-4" reds in my 240l tank, i feed them twice a day!

How often should i Vac the bottom?

Been doing it once a week when i do my water change, the reason i ask is just noticed my nitrite level rise a bit! (0.3) sad.gif

Ahhhhhhh... Just test your nitrate readings mate, You will soon see how often w/c's are needed.

Sorry for my silly reply the the previous post lol

I test my water way way too much, I have never ever had a Ammonia or Nitrite reading since having fish in my tanks.

Depends on your substrate. I have a fine type of grit, which to be honest does collect a bit of rubbish. I vac it once a week, and combine it with a water change to minimise disruption.

Not that it bothers the Rhom, its his tank and he lets me know it laugh.gif
