I am a newbie to having a fish tank, never kept live plants or fish before.

I have bought 10 Amazonion Swords on Ebay
3 onion plants
and i have 5 plants from the shop that i forget what they are called...

My tank is 350ltrs, and i am using a Fluval FX5 filter.

No air pump or fancy bubbles, sand for a base in my tank, and a big chunk of funky bog wood that looks ace.

I bought these basket things off Ebay that look good, they look like Mini plant pots made of mesh to put the plants in (only a fiver for 20)

Problem i have at the moment is the 5 plants i bought from the shop are going yellow and with advise from the forum i guess this is because i have no lights in my tank?

So i have bought a T8 light unit and Bulbs for my tank, hope this does the trick?

Managed to pick up a few ltrs of some stuff called 'plantamin' by Tetra, and some stuff in a bucket called 'complete substrate'...

Idea is now i am gonna add the Plantamin to the tank, add lights, and plant all my plants in the pots with Compeate substrate

will that do the trick?
