Hes looking proper huge now Rich and great flames on him, Mario said you liked his shoal, amazing how 4 piranhas can fill a 200 gal tank

was down at rich's today (thanks again for the pump mate, your a star) and saw this piraya......

that thing is a monster!!!

now my old piraya was 13" and ive had a few 12"+ caribe in the past so i know what to expect in a big pygo,
but this thing made mine look like a fcukin minnow
.....its the body mass that makes it look so huge.... gotta be a good 3" thick.... just stunning

the pics dont do it justice mate, its hard to get any perspective of the size, you gotta see a big pygo in the flesh to appreciate them fully

AWSOME is the only word that comes to mind.Alex pointed out in the last post that you have to see a fish like that in the flesh to realise how awsome they are.If any of you have never seen a Pygo like this in the flesh then beleave me when you do you will be gobsmaked when you do.I thought a pic tells the story not so long ago until that magical day i went to Marios.It changed my opionion on Pygos forever hence why i have a shoal now.

Heres one, from 2004, at around 4 ins or so , i naively thought i could put 3 in a 40 gal and quickly realized they were`nt cb reds when one had to be taken out with a nearly missing tail and these two had to be separated as one was relentlessly after the other , not long after they went to Mario
The camera made them look more orange than they were

Keep with it Rich,as l told you when you picked him up he was 3inchs long just over 4 years ago and his got lots more growth to go.In your care he will reach 16inchs+ no problem.Good luck
