Gulper Catfish

Some of you know I've recently got a Gulper cat.
I have him in a tank with 2 large severums he's been eating well on tiger prawns,
Well this lunch time i went to feed him with the lights still off and he took the food, but i could see in the darkness something was not right so on with the lights to see what is up!

needless to say one of the severums is in his belly.

they are cool as hell
(I'm sure the severum in its belly doesn't think so)
...... i was looking at them in pier aquatics the other day

he had them labeled as "sewer cats".... are they the same??

how big do they get Paul?

I've never heard them called that! but they are asterophysus_batrachus in latin
They max out at 30cm but will eat fish the same size as they are!

I would say so lmao.gif he just eat a 6" severum, till now a tiger prawn every 2 to 3 days, Now i know what his appetite is like.

and because of his Big belly he's having trouble swimming.
see for your self, lmao.gif you can see the severum sideways in his belly, and he's been leaving great big sh*ts all over the place.
