Hi MistaT, my first batch consisted of 5 fish that made it to juvenile. Second batch was more successful with 27, all raised in a 70 gallon fibreglass tank. Started with more than 50 in this tank but started eating each other at around 2 inches. 3rd batch of over 200 eggs was raised in 5 x 15 gallon aquariums. I let the eggs hatch with the parents and syphoned them out once free swimming. At 1/2 inch I split them into larger tanks, 125 gal, 90 gal and 150 gal, all heavily planted. This 3rd batch realised 187 x 4 inch fish, which I sold on. I raised all mine on brine shrimp and microworm going on to bloodworm and mashed lancefish and then whole lancefish. Every other day I did 25% water changes to all the tanks, temp was kept at 76/77 all the time. They have to be fed continuously when at fry stage, 8 or 10 time a day with freshly hatched brine shrimp alternating with microworm, never fed mine with flake so cant comment on that.
